Salary: £15,000 - £18,000 depending on experience and skills.

Manor Adventure operates four very successful residential
outdoor education centres, The Manor, Craven Arms, Shropshire, the Abernant
Lake Hotel, Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, Le Chateau du Broutel, Picardy,France and
Lockerbie in Scotland. The Company’s centres can be viewed on the website

Administration for all centres is carried out at head office based at The Manor mear
Craven Arms.
We need an experienced administrator to be responsible for all aspects of schools'
bookings, from initial enquiries through to processing payments. This is essentially
a stand alone post with sole responsibility for the Abernant centre, reporting to the
Director. However, it is based alongside the two administrators responsible for the
Company's other centres.
The hours will be Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. The salary will be negotiable
depending on experience and skills.
Key aspects of the job involve ensuring that as many enquiries as possible result
in bookings and maximising re-booking rates with existing clients. Consequently
some experience of a sales environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
The role provides support to the sales team supplying them with information on
availability and bookings taken etc.
Communicating with schools is an important aspect of the role to ensure that
bookings are handled efficiently and that essential information is provided to the
centre prior to their visit. Liaising with senior management, centre management and
other departments to ensure good lines of communication is vital. Consequently
a good standard of written and spoken English is required along with an excellent
telephone manner.
Ability and confidence with figures is essential to ensure that payments due are
calculated accurately, invoiced for and recorded appropriately.
Keyboard and computer skills are required to do the work effectively, information
is stored on databases; word and excel are used daily along with email and the
internet. Training will be given on the use of the databases.
Essential requirements:
* Experience of administration in a busy office environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent numerical skills
* Keyboard and computer skills (word, excel, databases, email and internet)
* Organised, methodical approach with an eye for detail
Desirable requirements:
* Some experience of sales
* Some experience of calculating payments and invoicing
