Working as a Centre Manager for Manor Adventure

Manor Adventure is a large Independent provider of residential Outdoor Education Courses to UK Schools and organised Groups and has now recently added Willersley Castle to its portfolio, a truly magnificent former hotel in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales overlooking the River Derwent Valley. Manor Adventure is now inviting experienced Operational Managers and Heads of Centres to join our Senior Management team to develop and operate Willersley Castle. Employment Start Date: 1st November 2021

As a Centre Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the principal role initially will be to develop and manage Willersley castle to Manor Adventure’s exceptionally high standards.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be required to be business focused and results-driven, with a passion for excellence in customer service and following financial budgets.
  • To create new activities and activity stations that will be provided at Willersley Castle.
  • To create Risk Assessments and SOPs for Willersley Castle.
  • To manage day to day running of all departments in daily tasks.
  • To ensure all Health & Safety Regulations and best practices followed.
  • To deliver a high standard of actives that our customers expect coming to Manor Adventure.
  • You will be familiar with AALA and LOTC licencing.

What experience or qualifications do you need:

  • You’ll have a proven track record in management covering all of the centres departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in instructing at all levels.
  • You will ideally have senior National Governing Body qualifications in Paddle sports or related NGB qualifications.
  • Proven ability to train, lead and motivate teams of multi- discipline activity instructors.
  • A breadth and depth of knowledge within the field of outdoor education.
  • Be highly organised with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Have experience and ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive.
